Deep Field Relaxation – interview
By Jena Griffiths | June 11, 2014
Knowing Nothing, Living Happy.
Can you heal yourself or others just by being present?
In this call, Galina Sanderson will teach us how to work with “the universal field” that all of us are part of. The call is open to everyone.
Thursday, June 12, 2014 Replay here.
What is deep field relaxation?
Deep Field Relaxation ™ (DFR) was founded by Galina’s late husband Clif Sanderson, author of Knowing Nothing, Living Happy. DFR is a way of joining with the energetic field that links us all. It is an extremely humble yet breakthrough healing technique that takes the healer’s ego and “doing anything” totally out of the picture. Deep Field Relaxation is a process that takes us beyond illness and the limitations of the human mind into the infinite possibilities.
Clif and Galina Sanderson
Clif and Galina met in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster when Galina heard about Clif and invited him to work with children suffering from leukaemia, thyroid cancer and other terminal illnesses after high doses of radiation. She was working with film crews at the time and raising funds to help people living in highly contaminated areas. The couple spent the next 5 years working with the children of Chernobyl, Chris practicing DFR, Galina translating.
As a result of several scientific research projects many solutions in the field of natural and energy medicine were found to be of benefit to people suffering from radiation-related illnesses.
Over the last 25 years Galina worked closely with Clif, expanding DFR as a healing philosophy that can be applied to virtually any situation and together running courses all around the world.
Clif passed away last November but Galina has decided to continue teaching DFR, spreading the word and bringing our attention this important work.

Vedic Mathematics
By Jena Griffiths | June 3, 2014
When Arvind Prasad asked me if I’d like to do an interview on Vedic Maths I thought “Oh my gosh, what has this to do with anything I normally cover? Still, his claims that it is fun, creative and works the way the brain works piqued my curiosity.
So what is Vedic Mathematics?
Vedic Mathematics is the name given to the ancient system of Indian Mathematics which was rediscovered from the Vedas between 1911 and 1918 by Sri Bharati Krsna Tirthaji (1884-1960). BKT figured out that all of mathematics, simple calculations to highly complex equations, can be solved using sixteen Sutras, or word-formulae.
This is a fascinating subject and, after listening to what Arvind explained, it seems to me that Vedic maths is something that should be taught to all school children. Much of it we are doing anyway without realizing it. We then try to learn another way (school imposed) and end up perhaps with a mental block about maths.
Arvind walks us through a few of the sutras and how to apply them to simple calculations.

Exploring two Giftmarkings – Mercury Stars and Lines of Genius
By Jena Griffiths | May 3, 2014
This month the focus is on two gift markings – Mercury Stars and Lines of Genius. These two gift markers close cousins as both are Mercury/Hermes types. Still, in many ways they are quite different. For example, “Mercury stars” indicate a natural talent for dreaming up ingenious ideas, whereas “Lines of Genius” is a gift for mass communication – writing or public speaking – a gift for both personalizing and simplifying complicated information in a way that makes it suddenly understandable. The name of this marker is a misnomer, as the talent is for communication rather than genius or IQ. Personally I think that every human is born a genius. This faculty gets shut down in most of us through social conditioning and education. If you’d like to reawaken your genius check out project renaissance.
How can hands help? They are visual reminders that each of us is sitting on a gold mine of untapped potential.
Our topic calls exploring these two gift markers with Richard Unger are on Tuesday May 6 & 13, 2014. We’ll be diving deeply into the meaning and implications of both these gift markers, exploring Richard’s point of view and experience after 40 years of observing people who have these talents. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about gift markings directly from Richard. There’s a recording if you can’t make the live call. Join this series here.

Are you a Gifted Healer? (next topic call)
By Jena Griffiths | March 29, 2014
Are you a good listener, able to hold a space for others so that they can heal themselves? Or do you have healing hands?
What does it actually mean to be a gifted healer? This is the topic we’ll be exploring this month in Earth School. On April 1, 2014 I’ll be interviewing Richard Unger on the gifted healer marker. Richard was the first person to identify 17 gift markers that show up in our hands, indicating special abilities that need to be lived. The gifted healer was the first of the gift markers that he decoded nearly 50 years ago, by observing that the vertical lines operated like horizontals when the talent wasn’t being used.
Where are these lines?
Look for them under your pinkie finger, above the first major line in your hand. (In other words, above your heart line.?
What do they look like?
Four or more short parallel stripes. The length of the individual lines isn’t important but they need to be parallel.
Also note, they are not right at the edge of the palm but slightly in, starting about half a centimeter in from the outer side of your palm.
Here’s a photo of their position and what they look like.
Read more about this gift marker here.
– an in-depth post I wrote a few years ago about this formation. Each stripe adds another level of healing power and responsibility.
Get the class on this marker, with Richard explaining his understanding of this marker, after more than 40 years of observing how it operates, in numerous people’s lives, and in numerous different personality types. How can this talent be put to best use? What are the unique challenges and opportunities?

Finding answers in trees
By Jena Griffiths | March 18, 2014
“As above, so below. As within, so without.” – Hermes Trismegistus
Have you ever had a problem that you just can’t solve?
Or you can’t see a way forward or what to do next?
Here’s a fun way to get answers. Talk to trees!
I’ve been doing a lot of this recently. And no, I’m not losing it.
It’s so quick and effective and such fun, I thought I’d share it with you.
The idea comes from Jean Houston who recommends doing it aloud and preferably with a friend.
If you don’t feel brave enough to babble out aloud in the park with only trees for audience, even the silent version works wonders. Within minutes you have your answer.
How do you do it?
Look for an interesting tree. Or any tree that calls you.
Take your question to the tree and as you look at the tree, at the patterns in bark, the growth spurts, whorls and swirls or whatever is going on
the tree will start answering you with the patterns embedded in the tree.
How does it work? Somehow we’re all interconnected. The world mirrors back your inner world. The tree helps you tap into your greater wisdom.
Who knows for sure. Celebrate the mystery.
If you’re doing this with a friend, each ask your own individual question to the tree
Then describe what you see in the tree. Somehow doing it together
encourages mutual creativity and the release of deeper wisdom.
Even if you don’t talk to any trees this week, may you find lots to bark about
🙂
